5th Generation Plant Nutrition Immunostimulants and the Leap of Future Agriculture
The development of fertilizers and nutrients for plants has rapidly progressed. This has become a driving force for the significant increase in agricultural productivity, contributing to the ability to provide stable food supplies through the Green Revolution and addressing the global population growth. However, recent climate change has necessitated changes in the future agricultural environment.
The rapid climate change has exposed plants (crops) to various stresses, leading to unstable growth. This necessitates a change in the use of conventional fertilizers and nutrients. Therefore, there is active development of functional physiological activators that can mitigate crop stress in response to climate change, rather than relying on previous fertilizers and plant nutrients.
In response to these changes in the agricultural environment, we are developing 5th generation plant nutrition immunostimulants that can enable safe crop growth. When crops are stressed, they produce substances that enhance resilience to stress. However, when crops are not healthy, the command for the production of these substances may not occur effectively.
However, 5th generation plant nutrition immunostimulants can serve as essential products for adapting to future changes in agricultural environments by effectively facilitating the stable expression of genetic traits and the production of stress-resilient substances under stress conditions.
